Privacy Policy
Benchely is software for IT staffing companies. It helps a company market its consultants to open roles and, later, find candidates for roles it recruits for. Benchely is operated by Enewvision LLC (“we”). This policy explains what data Benchely handles and why.
Who uses Benchely
Benchely is used by staffing companies and their staff. Each company has its own workspace, and its data is kept separate from every other workspace. The company that owns a workspace decides what goes into it.
Data we handle
- Account details: name, work email, role and a hashed password.
- Consultant profiles entered by the workspace: skills, experience, resumes, availability and documents the company uploads.
- Job requirements and recruiter contact details, from the company's inbox, job boards it connects, or manual entry.
- Email the company sends and receives through mailboxes it connects to Benchely.
- Basic logs needed to run and secure the service.
Google user data
When someone connects a Gmail account, Benchely asks for permission to:
- Read email (gmail.readonly), to find job requirements and recruiter replies, and to keep replies in the same thread.
- Send email (gmail.send), to send messages the workspace has approved or set to send, from that mailbox.
Benchely's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We use Gmail data only to provide the features the user connected the mailbox for.
- We do not sell Gmail data or use it for advertising.
- We do not use Gmail data to train general AI or machine learning models.
- People can read Gmail data only with the user's consent, for security reasons, to comply with law, or when the data is aggregated and anonymized.
- We transfer Gmail data to others only as needed to provide the service, as described below.
Microsoft user data
When someone connects an Outlook account, Benchely asks for permission to read mail, send mail and read the basic profile. It uses this access in the same way and with the same limits as Gmail above.
AI processing
Benchely uses Anthropic's Claude API to classify incoming email, compare consultants with job requirements and draft replies. Only the text needed for each task is sent. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data is not used to train their models. Government ID numbers, full Social Security numbers and passport numbers are never sent to AI services.
Service providers
- Render: hosting and database.
- Cloudflare: domain and DNS.
- Anthropic: AI processing, as above.
- Slack: owner notifications, only if the workspace connects Slack.
- Job-board and email-verification APIs the workspace chooses to connect.
We do not sell personal data.
Security
- All traffic uses HTTPS.
- Mailbox access tokens, passport numbers and uploaded documents are encrypted at rest.
- Only the last four digits of a Social Security number are stored.
- Passwords are stored as hashes. Access inside a workspace is limited by role.
Keeping and deleting data
Workspace data is kept while the workspace is active. A user can disconnect a mailbox at any time from Settings, which stops all access to it and deletes its stored tokens. You can also revoke access from your Google account or Microsoft account settings. To ask for your data to be deleted, email us. We act on deletion requests within 30 days.
Email recipients
If you received an email sent through Benchely and do not want more, reply and ask to stop, or use the unsubscribe link. Your address is then blocked for that company.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Important changes will be shown in the app.
